How BTS concert tickets actually work — from the US
The honest version: by the time you see the tour announcement on Twitter, you're already late if you're not already a ARMY member. Here's what the timeline actually looks like, and where US fans hit walls.
The presale system in one paragraph
ARMY ARMY MEMBERSHIP on Weverse Shop. ~$26 USD (≈ 33,000 KRW; price has bumped 5–10% each year) per cycle. Annual, opens roughly mid-April through late May. Once the window closes you cannot late-enroll for that cycle — there is no grace period.
Payment notes — Weverse Shop runs through KCP. Most US-issued Visa and Mastercard cards now go through, but Discover and Amex still 502 about half the time. If KCP rejects, the working fallback is a Wise USD virtual card or a KakaoPay account linked to a Korean phone number.

Membership renewal window opens
AnnoyingLog in to Weverse → ARMY MEMBERSHIP → renew. The page is in English but the payment form briefly switches to Korean before submitting.
Gotcha — If your country setting in Weverse profile is Korea (가끔 자동 설정됨), the page will hide the international section. Switch to United States in Settings → Country first. - D−150
Membership window closes
PainfulAfter this date, you lock out of the upcoming presale cycle — period. No exception even for spending power.
- D-90D−90
Tour announcement
Big Hit / Weverse posts the dates. Twitter, Instagram, fan Discords blow up. From here, US fans without an active membership are essentially out of the early window.
- D−80
ARMY presale registration
AnnoyingMembers get an email with a personalized presale code, plus a link to register a queue position. Register the moment the email lands; queue positions stack.
- D−70
ARMY presale opens
PainfulMembers enter their code on Weverse Shop or the partner site (Ticketmaster for US dates, Interpark for Korea). Floor and lower-bowl tickets typically clear in under 8 minutes.
Gotcha — Multiple browser tabs no longer help — Weverse blocks duplicate sessions on the same account since the 2025 platform update. - D−50
General public sale
AnnoyingWhatever survived the presale. Better seats are usually gone for top markets (LA, NY, Seoul). For Atlanta / Chicago / Dallas / Oakland, public-sale floors are still possible if you queue early.
- D-14D−14
Mobile ticket release
Tickets become transferable / viewable in the Ticketmaster app or Interpark app. Until this point you cannot transfer to a friend, even if you bought the ticket.
- DShow day
Show
Doors usually 90 minutes before showtime. Lightstick BT pairing 2 hours before.
Editor's noteI missed the ARMY MEMBERSHIP renewal in 2024 because I assumed it opened after the Busan announcement, not before. By the time I tried to enroll — May 23, the day after the renewal closed — the option was simply gone from the Weverse page. Public-sale only meant nosebleed seats at 3x resale markup.

How we verified this
We track ARMY MEMBERSHIP renewals manually each cycle and cross-check official Weverse / agency posts against US-fan Reddit threads on r/kpop. The ARMY presale numbers above reflect what worked in 2024–2026; they will drift. We re-verify before each major tour cycle and post the updated date in the timeline above.
